The AXK Series refers to a type of Thrust Needle Roller Bearing. Unlike radial needle roller bearings, this bearing is specifically designed to accommodate unidirectional axial (thrust) loads. Its most distinctive feature is an extremely low cross-sectional height, making it one of the flattest bearing types available. The standard AXK bearing typically consists of a precision-stamped thrust washer (which acts as the raceway) and a complement of small-diameter needle rollers or cylindrical rollers. In some variants, a cage may be used to retain and guide the rollers. This design is ideal for applications where axial space is severely limited, and high thrust capacity is required in a minimal axial envelope.
